Zac Guire has been in the masonry industry since he was 15 years old. He comes from a family of masons, his grandfather, father, and brothers are all in the industry. When asked what the masonry industry means to him, Guire said, “Everything! I absolutely love my trade and being a mason. There is nothing like seeing your accomplishments at the end of a hard day’s work.”
Guire’s love for competing has gotten him a Regional win before, but this time he got second place. Luckily this year we introduced the Wild Card, which gave him a second chance to compete in Vegas, “I was shocked and overwhelmed by getting a chance to be a Wild Card entry.”
Guire has moved up in the masonry industry and doesn’t get to use his tools at work anymore. He plans on practicing weekly at his local union hall to prepare for the World Championship in Vegas.
