SPEC MIX SCORES BIG AT UMCA GOLDEN TROWEL AWARDS

June 17th, 2021 was a special night for Team SPEC MIX-DFW and many of the architects, mason contractors and suppliers who gathered for the United Masonry Contractors Association (UMCA) Golden Trowel Awards. Held at the one and only Texas Motor Speedway Club in Fort Worth, the SPEC MIX Team consisting of Trey Harris, Johnny Poole and Frank Cuccurullo went into the gala with high hopes of winning a few honors, but walked out with smiles from ear to ear while carrying 16 of 18 possible awards. SPEC MIX Regional Manager, Trey Harris, commented, “Knowing how hard the guys work for their dealers and contractors, I couldn’t be happier —they earned it!”

Established to recognize and encourage excellence in masonry design, construction and material selection, project nominations from the greater DFW area were separated into 9 building categories with awards presented to 1st Place and Honorable Mention winners. Below are the projects in the respective category that were constructed with SPEC MIX products that received Golden Trowel Awards.
