SPEC MIX® Fiber Base Coat (FBC) is a dry, preblended cement based stucco engineered with proprietary admixtures and fibers that are computer batched for consistency and performance unmatched by traditional field mixed stucco. SPEC MIX FBC has a custom blended sand gradation that increases the wall flexural strength while reducing cracking and crazing. The custom sand gradation also provides excellent workability and finishing properties for the applicator over a traditional field-mixed source.

Designed for both One Coat and traditional Scratch & Brown Coat systems, SPEC MIX FBC reduces shrinkage and increases long-term durability and bond strength of the application. When gun or hand applied by a qualified applicator, SPEC MIX FBC is approved by Intertek as a one-hour fire-rated wall when applied as a One Coat application, CCRR-0231. Submittals are available upon request for certification to applicable ASTM standards.

Our engineers focus on superior product performance and advanced material chemistry to develop base coat stucco for your wall system. SPEC MIX FBC STUCCO is formulated with shrinkage compensating agents, a superior blend of polyester and fiberglass fibers that are preblended with an optimized gradation of sand that meet ICC specifications. SPEC MIX FBC is tested by independent laboratories to meet building code requirements.

THE CUSTOM BLEND OF SAND AND PROPRIETARY ADDITIVES IN SPEC MIX FBC DELIVERS PROPERTIES THAT OUTPERFORM TRADITIONAL STUCCO.

MAXIMUM ADHESION.
CONSISTENT EVERY BATCH.

SPEC MIX® Scratch & Brown Fiber Reinforced Stucco is engineered and preblended to provide superior consistency and durability when used as the scratch and/or brown coat in three-coat wall systems. SPEC MIX Scratch & Brown Fiber Reinforced Stucco is a custom blend of cementitious materials, additives, aggregates, and alkali resistant fibers meeting ASTM C 926 requirements. The special sand gradation used provides excellent workability and finishing properties for the applicator as well as increases the flexural strength of the wall while reducing cracking and crazing common with traditional field-mixed stucco. To ensure uniformity and quality, each ingredient of the finished product is individually weighed before all the raw materials are thoroughly blended, bagged and delivered.

SPEC MIX Scratch & Brown Fiber Reinforced Stucco can be installed over framed wall construction that includes a solid backing such as fiberboard, gypsum sheathing, and wood based sheathing. The product’s adhesion properties and versatility make it the perfect basecoat when applied over concrete and masonry substrates. SPEC MIX Scratch & Brown Fiber Reinforced Stucco is produced under strict manufacturing standards, and complete quality control measures are implemented with each batch. A digital printout displaying the proper proportions per batch may be kept as a permanent record. Submittals are available upon request for certification to applicable ASTM standards.
