SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 REGIONAL SERIES
THE ROAD TO LAS VEGAS
Widely referred to as the “Road to Las Vegas,” the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 Regional Series tests the speed, skill, and stamina of bricklayers across North America who have what it takes to compete in the World Championship. The Regional Series competitions are held to determine which mason can build the highest 26-foot-long brick wall, with the best craftsmanship, in only 60-minutes.
The stakes are high as only the 1st Place winner of each regional competition will advance to Las Vegas to lay it all on the line in the Championship finale. The action takes place at the World of Concrete show where well over 4,000 spectators gather to cheer for their favorite bricklayer. Not only is the level of intensity and energy high in the arena, but the battle is also extremely competitive. The contest’s total payday is valued at over $125,000, including a Kubota RTV X1130, Essick Pro12 Mix and a Chevy Silverado 4×4 truck—plus the title, “World’s Best Bricklayer!”
Next to highlighting the amazing talent and craftsmanship of masons around the world, the main mission of the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 is workforce development and building tomorrow’s generation of skilled masons. During many of the Regional Series competitions and the World Championship, the SPEC MIX team will also host JR. SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® competitions created for high school students and apprentices pursuing a career in masonry. The JR. SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® competitions give masonry’s up and coming bricklayers a chance to showcase their drive and skills against their peers. The Jr. competitors are given 20 minutes to build a 9-foot, 4-inch wall using their best workmanship to show they’ll soon be to join a mason contractor team and be jobsite ready. It’s an event and experience you don’t want to miss!
