TENDER: JONATHAN HUDGINS
65-year-old mason Michael Hudgins and his tender/son, Jonathan Hudgins, didn’t need any practice to get ready for the Virginia regional. Michael has been laying brick for over fifty years, and now he’s ready to improve on his regional brick count of 465.
Michael chose masonry as a career because he simply needed the work, and then he fell in love with the art of bricklaying. He believes anyone wanting to follow in his footsteps should be prepared to work hard and take advice.
If Michael wins the 2020 National Championship he plans on taking a slow drive home to Chesapeake, VA while stopping along the way to see parts of the USA in which he’s never seen.
