40-year-old mason Angel Ramirez has been with his company, Artisan Masonry for the past twelve years. He enjoys the art of his work and believes anyone wanting to start a career in masonry should feel the same way.

Ramirez and his family have always worked in the trades, finding great pride in starting a project from the ground up and seeing it finished. That drive and passion for his occupation led him to compete in the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500. He will compete alongside his tender, Adolfo Gonzales, Jr, who also labored for last year’s North Texas regional winner, Jose Mario Landeros.

To get ready for Las Vegas this year, Ramirez is planning on putting in some extra practice and working out, making sure he has the stamina to compete on the biggest stage in masonry.
