Products

With a line of shotcrete products including structural (SPECSHOT), soil nailing (SPECNAIL), repair (SPECPATCH), pool (SPECPOOL) and architectural (SPECFINISH), SPEC MIX® has a mix design for any shotcrete application. Each product can be enhanced with a variety of admixtures and fibers, such as silica fume, accelerators, water reducers, corrosion inhibitors, shrinkage reducers, air entrainment and steel or poly fibers, to increase performance requirements. Mixture designs are readily available in either dry or wet process formulations. If a project requires specific performance requirements, customized mixes can be formulated by our Engineering Services Center.

SPEC MIX® shotcrete products are designed for a wide range of applications. SPEC MIX® shotcrete products are available in standard formulizations and custom mix designs to fit specific project requirements -- whether you are casting new structures or restoring existing projects, above ground or below. Our national network of manufacturers are able to produce various dry-mixes with cementitious materials that include silica fume, fibers and admixtures combined with specifically graded aggregates to meet your project specification.

Quality control is our primary focus. SPEC MIX® shotcrete is batched dry and computer controlled to ensure each ingredient is accurately measured and preblended in bulk bags, 80-pound or 94-pound bags. SPECSHOT

SPECSHOT structural shortcrete is a high-strength, low permeability and low rebound mix engineered for vertical and overhead applications. Typical uses include projects requiring rock stabilization linings, soil nailing, shoring, slope stabilization and tunneling.

SPECPATCH

SPEC PATCH repair shotcrete is an engineered, dry or wet process product designed for projects requiring high early strength performance with optimal working times for finishing. Typical uses include concrete rehabilitation solutions for manufacturing facilities, parking structures and bridges.

SPECNAIL

SPECNAIL is a preblended, high early strength, cement-based product designed to be used for wet or dry process soil and slope stabilization applications. It can be custom designed and packaged to meet specific properties and/or project requirements.

SPECPOOL

SPECPOOL is a preblended, high early strength, cement-based product engineered for either wet or dry process pool lining applications. It is custom formulated for low permeability and shrinkage while providing material with good build up, working times and finishing properties.

SPECFINISH

SPECFINISH architectural shotcrete is preblended, high early strength mix specifically engineered for the artisan or tradesman creating artificial rock formations or trowel-finished impressions. It is designed dry with special aggregates, additives, cementitious materials and silica fume for excellent build-up and working times.

Packaging and Delivery

SPEC MIX, Inc., takes a technological approach to formulating shotcrete mix designs, which have been pretested to meet industry standards. The SPEC MIX® shotcrete line is designed to meet the guidelines of ACI 506R for application anywhere in the country. SPEC MIX® manufacturing facilities follow a strict quality control/assurance program complete with national mixture approval, material certification, production process control and testing. Each ingredient in a mixure is individually weighed to an accuracy of less than � of 1 percent of design. Each SPEC MIX® shotcrete product is packaged in either 80 lb (36 kg) or 94 lb (42 kg) bags or 3,000 lb. (1,362) bulk bags.

The SPEC MIX® system offers the contractor multiple material delivery options for projects through the use of its patented silo delivery systems. Silo configurations include the one-bulk-bag Load N Go, the five-bulk-bag G7000, the Ten Bagger and the 13-bulk-bag Super Silo. Additionally, SPEC MIX® is proud to announce the addition of the material auger, which attaches to any of our SPEC MIX® silo systems to allow easy mechanical discharge into any shotcrete machine. Engineering Services

SPEC MIX, Inc., engineers and scientists can provide full-service project consultation from start to finish. The SPEC MIX® Engineering Services team is proficient at troubleshooting and providing quick response to our customers' project concerns and needs.

Our fully equipped laboratory has the capacity for forensic concrete and mortar analysis, including petrographic, chemical, and x-ray diffraction analyses, as well as physical testing of concrete, aggregate and mortar. These capabilities ensure that the products going into SPEC MIX® bags meet our quality standards.
