Missouri Mason Leif Reint wins the 2012 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® National
LAS VEGAS, NV—The national competition for the “World Series of Bricklaying” was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 25, 2012. Bricklayers from North America, Australia and England competed in the 2012 SPECMIXBRICKLAYER 500® for the title “World’s Best Bricklayer.” Local Missouri mason Leif Reints, age 31, with Reints Masonry, from Neosho, Missouri, won first place and the coveted title. Leif laid 583 brick in 60 minutes to win. First place won Leif a new F-250 Ford SuperDuty 4 x4 truck and thousands in cash and prizes. Starts Wednesday, 2:00 PM CST, Jan. 25, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
LAS VEGAS, NV — See the best masons in the world compete in the “World Series of Bricklaying.” This premier bricklaying competition will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 PM CST, January 25, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the 2012 WOC trade show. The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® National bricklaying championship competitors are set. See the FREE Event LIVE by webcast. The two undercard preliminary events are webcast as well. They start at 12:30 PM CST, The MCAA’s Fastest Trowel on the Block at 1:00 PM CST. Then the MAIN EVENT, the 2012 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 National starts at 2:00 PM CST.
There is a record high of 21 bricklayers competing this year. The competition is comprised mainly of the 16 winners from regional bricklayer events that were held during 2011 throughout the US & Canada. Competition bricklayers come from states such as Ohio, Washington, Illinois, Utah, Tennessee, Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Arizona, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Florida, Northern California, and Alabama. In addition, masons will be laying brick from the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Ontario, and the countries of England and Australia. The 2011 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 National Champion, Ray Robinson, will be returning to defend his title as well as the 2011 SPEC MIX TOP CRAFTSMAN® winner, Dave Moyle. You don’t want to miss it!
